Ms. Turner "dug" the Digg experience. One observation: our social network is totally based on the opinion of anonymous people. It is amazing how vocal people are when expressing their stance on issues.
Another observation: don't believe everything you read on the Internet. The students Ms. Turner teaches must learn to trust only authorized web sites. Would Digg be considered a trustworthy site?
The last observation: Ms. Turner has never felt like anyone would care what she thinks on issues so she has never been inclined to form an opinion or express it. The social network has given her a new perspective. When she does form an opinion or investigate issues she does learn more about the topic and she comes to a better understanding of the issue.
