Ms. Paige Turner explored Ning.com and read several posts, blogs, and comments regarding using twitter and blogs in the library in the social network "Library 2.0".
A comment was made in the Library 2.0 Network that needs further examination in the social network: how to avoid the self-promoting and advertising aspects of the network. Ms. Turner has noticed that very thing in Facebook and other 2.0 venues. The platform for advertising products and self-promoting is obviously ripe. How does one avoid these unsolicited advances?
Ms. Turner also read the social network for Classroom 2.0 since she considers herself part of the classroom network within an elementary school learning environment. The site blabberize.com was mentioned in Teachers 2.0 network and Ms. Turner thought of several ways to use this site in the library.
