Ms. Turner can see many opportunitites in the Web 2.0 world to use tagging. The amount of information on the web must be organized in some way and tagging seems to be the most useful. It is improbable that an authorative system that librarians use (such as subject headings) would be practical in the Internet world. One fact is certain: there is no authorative control over the Internet.
Of all the "things" explored, tagging may prove to be the most useful as one plunges into the web. There must be some way of labeling or organizing all the information so the task of tagging would apply to this discipline. One could argue if this is the best solution to the problem but for the present, it seems to be the best alternative.
On a personal note, Ms. Turner first used tagging for her personal pictures. She is still working on getting that part of her life organized.
